What should I write in an incident update?

Last updated 5 July 2026

Start with the impact: what is affected and who notices. Then say what you know about the cause (or that you're investigating), what you're doing, and when the next update will be. Keep it short, skip the jargon, and don't promise what you can't check. Post a resolution update at the end. Sentivel can draft each update in this format for you to review.
